Special Notes on vehicular use of trails
I’d say there are two good places to run your wheeled off-road vehicle (Side-by-sides, dirt bikes and ATVs)
There are some limited trails for wheeled ORV use in the Potomac/Garrett and Savage River State Forests, but they seem too short to really be fun. The MD DNR has some more info on use of ORV’s on State Forest land (it gets a bit confusing regarding snowmobiles vs wheeled ORVs) More trail mileage is open for snowmobiles, since they don’t have the potential for trail surface damage.
